A Benefit for the Jeremy Wilson Foundation
Nuggets Night is a tribute night to the lost gems of ‘60s garage, psych, and beyond to benefit music related nonprofits in Portland, Oregon. This year marks the event’s 10-year anniversary with headlining performances by garage rock legends The Pandoras, The Shadows of Knight, The Woggles and The Loons, plus a multitude of Portland bands all paying tribute to some of the most revolutionary music ever created.
The idea behind Nuggets Night is to bring together fans of obscure ’60s garage and psychedelic rock and provide a night for musicians to play covers from the influential Nuggets compilations and beyond. Each night features 10 Portland opening acts, all playing 15 minute sets on shared backline gear to keep the music rolling. The evening peaks with legendary garage rock icons performing full sets. Rarely is one able to see so many talents in an evening, let alone two nights in a row with the proceeds benefitting musicians and their families in the community.
Headlining this first night are THE PANDORAS and THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT with:
Portland bands Paradise, The Lovesores, The Sellwoods, The Mean Reds, The Strange Effects, Thee Nastees, Fire Nuns, Lagoon Squad, Magic Wandas, and The Foolish Pride open the evening with covers and tributes to lost gems of ‘60s garage, psych, pop and more.

The Pandoras, a band best known for its 1960s garage-rock-inspired songs and attitude, are back after a 25-year hiatus. After a vibrant Facebook group revealed a feisty underground fanbase, the core Pandoras (Kim, Melanie, Karen) got together to hang out and jam. One thing led to another, and they realized they could put on an amazing live show. Although The Pandoras’ lead singer/songwriter, Paula Pierce, died of an aneurysm in 1991, her music, bandmates, and fans are carrying on her legacy.
The Shadows of Knight, dubbed “the American Rolling Stones”, shot to the top of the music charts in 1966 with the rock anthem “GLORIA” and subsequent hits, "Someone Like Me", “Bad Little Woman”, “I’m Gonna Make You Mine”, and the much lauded version of the Bo Diddley tune, “Oh Yeah”. The Shadows of Knight then released their final chart hit, “Shake !” culminating in another million seller. From 1965 to 2017, lead singer Jimy Sohns has never stopped performing as The Shadows of Knight. 51 years later, Sohns continues the legacy of The Shadows of Knight to this very day anywhere and everywhere in the world, because as long as he has a microphone in his hand you will always hear him shout all night...G-L-O-R-I-A.
