The CURATOR for this event is: WESTICANA PRESENTS

Scott Pemberton Band -- Scott's sound is much like the vibe of his native Portland: freaky, fun and just the right amount of weird. The best way to categorize his music is with the moniker “Timber Rock”. Scott naturally applies his own lens/stamp to the sounds of the Pacific North West, the region he has always called home. The deep jazz, NW rock/grunge, blues roots and the west coast funk. It’s all there, and often all in the same song. Listeners are finding this honest, original and to-the-point music refreshing and fun.

Mic Capes -- I make music inspired by people and the experiences of my life. Made to raise awareness, evoke thought, and channel emotion. My music comes from what i have seen, learned, lived, and experienced. I speak of the good, the beautiful, the bad, and the ugly. My goal is to not only grab the ears but capture the heart as well. I aim to shed light on social issues and encourage folks to think critically and gain understanding and new perspectives all while still making music without an expiration date. This is my individual representation of the inner me presented and given to you in the form of outward expression...Cinematic Poetry

Dirtwire is David Satori of Beats Antique, Evan Fraser of Stellamara and Mark Reveley of Jed and Lucia

Dirtwire sits on the back porch of Americana's future, conjuring up a whirlwind of sound using traditional instrumentation, world-beat percussion, and electronic soundscapes. Comprised of David Satori (Beats Antique), Evan Fraser (Hamsa Lila; Stellamara), and Mark Reveley (Jed and Lucia) each performance brings both band and audience to a mysterious crossroads of beats, blues, bluegrass, African, Asian, and South + Central American sounds. The result is a rebirth of Americana and a post-millennial psychedelic journey to downhome goodness.

Heatwave Show Band is a Professional Youth Band, with its first base in the Pete & Edna Carlson Music Club in Palm Desert, CA, and its second in the Pacific Northwest, in Portland, OR. Heatwave Show band is an after school music program that aims to educate young musicians in real world skills and experiences in the music industry. From recording at George Lucas Skywalker Ranch and Conway Recording Studios, to the annual Spring Tour this March 30, 2017 - April 3, 2017, these are a few examples of the many opportunities we offer to the students in this program.

The Pacific Northwest Heatwave Show Band needs your help for their up and coming tour to the San Francisco Bay Area & Monterey, CA for the Next Generation Jazz Festival. This outstanding professional youth group has an open invitation to appear as a guest band at this most prestigious jazz festival. As this group is still in its infancy, it needs the financial support of our friends, family, and community.

In conjunction with GoFundMe, we also have our Tour Benefit Concert to raise our tour budget of $12,500. This includes airfare, lodging, food, and transportation for the whole tour, covering multiple performances and events throughout the Bay Area at no expense to the students. For anyone in the Portland area, our concert is on March 15 at the Star Theater in Downtown Portland! We would love to see both new and familiar faces in the Portland Area at our show. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students under 21.

The Poetry Brothel is a unique and immersive poetry event that takes poetry outside classrooms and lecture halls and places it in the lush interiors of a bordello. The Poetry Brothel presents a rotating cast of both male and female poets, each operating within a carefully crafted character, who share their work in public readings, spontaneous eruptions of poetry, and most distinctly, as purveyors of private poetry readings on beds, chaise lounges and in private rooms. For a small fee, all of the resident poets are available for these sequestered readings at any time during the event. Of course, any true brothel needs a good cover; The Poetry Brothel’s is an immersive cabaret, offering live music, burlesque, sketch artists, and fortune-tellers, with newly integrated themes, performances and installations at each event. For complete details, please visit thepoetrybrothel.com

Tyler, TX-based indie pop outfit Eisley has announced 'I'm Only Dreaming,' the band's fifth full-length, which was produced by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, Lauryn Hill) and will be released on February 17, 2017, via Equal Vision Records.

'I'm Only Dreaming' stays true to form of the band's signature dreamy sound, with vocalist/guitarist Sherri DuPree-Bemis elaborating, "Musically, you could say it's classic Eisley, in the sense that it's melodic, moody pop and is written from the heart. Lyrically, it's very whimsical; it has a vibe that will take you into its own world and let you escape your normal life for a few minutes. I like to cloak things in a little mystery and romance; I think it's part of what makes all of Eisley's songs sound like they're from the same world. Every record is like opening and reading a book in a series."

DuPree-Bemis opened up about "You Are Mine" revealing, "This song is about loving someone deeply and the beauty and challenges that come with being in a long term, committed relationship. You're going to argue, you're going to rub each other wrong and disagree and drive each other absolutely crazy sometimes but at the end of the day you just want to be together. ('You're my everything, my sun and moon, you make me swoon; Wake me up, talk too much, piss me off, but you are mine')."

Eisley's upcoming tour lineup will include: Sherri DuPree-Bemis (vocals, guitars), Garron DuPree (bass), Remington DuPree (drums), Elle Puckett (lead guitars, vocals) and Jedidiah Lachmann (keys).

James Chance and the Contortions is a musical group led by saxophonist and vocalist James Chance. They were one of the original groups of the New York no wave music scene.

Their first recording, credited solely as Contortions, was on the 1978 compilation, No New York, produced by Brian Eno. The following year, two albums were issued almost simultaneously on ZE RecordsBuy and Off White under the moniker James White and the Blacks. The same musicians recorded both records, though none are credited on the album cover.

In 2016, Chance released his first single with his original Contortions band in nearly 30 years, entitled "Melt Yourself Down". A music video for the single was directed, filmed and animated by 19 year old Dylan Greenberg and is considered the first Contortions music video to make significant use of dramatic digital effects, such as Chance's face being manipulated to appear as if it were melting.
